Consignment Note (CN)

A **Consignment Note**, often called a Lorry Receipt (LR) in road transport, is the counterpart to the Bill of Lading but for land transport. It serves as proof of receipt by the carrier.

Key Distinction: Unlike a Bill of Lading, a Consignment Note is NOT a document of title. It accompanies the goods and is primarily a proof of delivery record.
